COMMUNITY FEEDBACK SESSION

IN KEAUKAHA

KEAUKAHA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAFETERIA

APRIL 16, 2024 6pm to 8pm

240 Desha Ave, Hilo, HI 96720

In partnership with Hawaiʻi County and Perpetual, Zero Waste Hawaiʻi Island has worked to compile more than a year of feedback on a proposed Reusable Foodware System design for Hilo. Join us in person or via Zoom to review the final plan and provide feedback. Following this gathering in Keaukaha, we’ll make edits to the plan for final review.

Here’s how you can participate…

STEP 1 - RSVP IF YOU’RE AVAILABLE!

If you’re available on April 16, 2024, CLICK HERE to RSVP. The form will ask if you plan to attend via Zoom or In-Person. If you select the Zoom option, you can click the link HERE to join. If you select the In-Person option, we’re able to provide keiki care & transportation, depending on your location and the availability of resources. Be sure to fill out the form ASAP. If you’re not available on April 16, you can submit feedback HERE between now and April 19.

STEP 2 - REVIEW THE DOCUMENT

We’re meeting to share and collect feedback on the System Design Document we’ve put together based on the outreach we’ve done. You can read it ahead of time by CLICKING HERE.

STEP 3 - SEE YOU THERE!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or text Kuʻulei at (808) 940-6989. Otherwise, we’ll see you there! We’d like to extend a true and resonant “MAHALO!” to Kamala Anthony and the Leleiwi Community Association, Uncle Pat and the Keaukaha Community Association, and Uncle Rod Haili and the Panaʻewa Neighborhood Watch, for allowing us to attend their regular meetings to share and collect feedback. We’ve gathered that food, music, and aloha are critical pieces of community engagement, so we plan to make this event open and abundant to all who can attend - e naue mai a e pū paʻakai kākou! See you there!
