Join us to help design and implement a reusable foodware system for Hilo!

Tuesday, October 24th – Saturday, October 28th, 2023

All members of the public are invited to attend one of multiple workshops and provide their thoughts on a system design that is accessible and convenient for everyone. The workshops will offer participants the experience of borrowing, using, and returning a reusable cup, to obtain their perspectives on how a reusable foodware system would work best for them. There will be questions about system design, materials, and return incentives, with the goal of designing a system rooted in the Hawaiian values of Kanaka, ʻĀina, and AkuaConnections (Humankind, Land, and Spirit).
